High desert detours.
I’ve been spending my spare time in the mountains this winter. Growing up on the beach in England, the mountains still have an awe inspiring novelty to me. After a few days riding the perfectly groomed Mammoth mountain slopes with my friend and fellow photographer Jessa, we reluctantly hit the long road home. The return journey from such fun filled days can always feel the longest and most depressing part of a trip. To avoid traffic and take in some of the Eastern Sierras and it’s cool mountain air -we took ourself on a little high desert detour to make that tedious 395 drive just a little more interesting. Ultimately, it ended up as one of the true highlights of our trip.
Take that dirt road…….
